Please note that LR psychology service reports for ASD can be uni-disciplinary or multi-disciplinary and are accepted by all agencies including Department of Education and Department of Social Protection who can offer early intervention and additional support.
Based on best practice (ref: NICE guidelines Dec’17*), and in line with other organisations, LR Psychology Services are carrying out multidisciplinary team assessments. Multidisciplinary being that at least two professionals from different disciplines participate in the assessment process.
LR Psychology Services assessments contains:
a parent interview, ie. ADI-R
a play assessment/social interview, ADOS, BOSA
a cognitive assessment and/or a measure of adaptive behaviour.
Recommendation for early years intervention or primary or secondary school placement.
Speech and Language Therapy Services
Our Speech and Language Therapy services are provided by a Senior Therapist who holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Clinical Speech and Language Studies from Trinity College Dublin, awarded in 2018. She brings extensive experience in working with both children and adults across a broad spectrum of communication challenges, including:
Late talking
Language delays and disorders
Speech sound/pronunciation difficulties
Stuttering
Autism
Aphasia
Dysarthria
Parent and teacher training
She is trained in a range of evidence-based interventions such as:

Palin Parent-Child Interaction Therapy for Early Childhood Stammering
ADOS (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule) Assessment
The therapist is a fully registered member of CORU, the Irish Association of Speech and Language Therapists (IASLT), and Independent Speech and Language Therapists Ireland (ISTI).
